I got a paper cut studio, led by Georgie Hewitt, a versatile art director and designer with experience across all areas of illustrated-book design.
With over 15 years’ experience, taking projects from concept to completion and working with a wide range of authors and teams to produce high-quality print and book design. Her industry knowledge and creative passion, combined with a meticulous eye for detail help make her work both visually dynamic and commercially successful.
She can take care of the entire creative process: from concept and planning; through to team selection and briefing; to art direction, layout, design and artwork. She has always maintained diversity in her work and this versatility gives her a greater understanding of the creative process and an ability to think laterally when approaching a new project. Above all, she is passionate about her work and takes great pride and care in everything she does.

“I’ve been working with Georgie now for some 15 years, which speaks volumes in itself. She is a really collaborative designer and a problem-solver who is always aware of recent graphic trends, specific market requirements and publishing/printing innovations. She translates such awareness into her impressive output. Georgie usually smiles when you ask the (almost) impossible, and works both quickly and accurately to get things across the line. In short, refinement and tenacity.”
— John Lee (Publisher, The British Library)
